In his weekly address Obama said his plan to set up until 2011 at least 2.5 million new job implies the largest program of public investment since the mid 1950's.
"We will create millions of jobs by sending in our national infrastructure of the largest investment since the creation of a federal system of highways in 1950" - said the winner of the presidential election.
Politician, which will come into the presidency on 20 January next year, also noted that control the use of public funds will be tough.
